That passion took hold with her first position at Kennebunk Savings as a part-time teller, and continued as she advanced to other customer-facing positions. She spent nearly 18 years in various roles across retail banking, commercial lending and residential mortgage lending. During the next 10 years in branch management, Brooker assisted customers and businesses with everything from opening new accounts to getting the financing they need.
In 2018, Kennebunk Savings recognized Brooker’s hard work and dedication with the Chairman’s Club Award which is given to one outstanding employee each year. When she’s not working, Brooker stays active in the community. She’s Treasurer of the South Berwick-Eliot Rotary Club, Treasurer of the Rollinsford-South Berwick Lions Club and an active Volunteer for the William Fogg Library in Eliot, Eliot Festival Day & Eliot 5k Roadrace Committee and the Eliot Bicentennial Committee. She’s looking forward to getting to know York. Kim’s first week of work coincided with the 50th anniversary of the first York branch, and she was there to greet customers with pastries in the morning and cupcakes in the afternoon. “We had so many people stop by and celebrate. It was nice to hear stories from long-term customers who had grown with Kennebunk Savings bank.”
