About Wes

Wes has a rich background of law and advocacy. A founding member of Bergen & Parkinson in Kennebunk in 1998, Wes transitioned for several years to serve in positions at the American Civil Liberties Union.  Wes returned to Bergen & Parkinson in 2017 where he is now Of Counsel providing strategic management and policy guidance to businesses, developers, and not-for-profit organizations.

Wes also taught classes in administrative law and critical reasoning as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Mississippi.

He graduated with a degree in psychology from the University of Vermont and received his Juris Doctor from Suffolk University Law School.

Wes resides in Kennebunk with his wife Gail and their two dogs, Tigger and Peony.

As you have come to know more about the bank over the past few months, what has surprised you most?

“Not truly surprised because I’ve known about the bank’s community commitment since getting to know Joel Stevens and Ken Reed in the 1990s, but I am so impressed to see how the program of giving back to the community has grown and thrived over the years.”
