About Tom
Tom was elected to the Board in April, 2021. After an 18-year career in the financial sector retiring as a senior executive of Wells Fargo, Tom acquired a marine service facility in 2004 and established Kittery Point Yacht Yard, the last full-service waterfront marine service facility in Kittery. Subsequently, he acquired a second facility in 2008, previously known as Pattens Yacht Yard, on the banks of the Piscataqua River in Eliot Maine. During his stewardship, Kittery Point Yacht Yard Corp was one of the first yards in the state to achieve the nationally recognized Clean Marina designation from the EPA, the highest safety award from OSHA in Washington DC, and the national Boatyard of the Year award in 2017 from the American Boatbuilders and Repairers Association (ABBRA). Currently, Tom is the acting GM of Safe Harbor Kittery Point overseeing the future development of these two facilities under its new ownership. During his tenure in the marine industry, Tom has also served as Treasurer of the Maine Marine Trades Association, as a board member of ABBRA, and as a member of Business Leaders United. Tom attended the University of Denver where he earned a degree in business and finance. Tom has been a Corporator at Kennebunk Savings since 2012.
